Chitwan means: "The heart of the forest". Chitwan is a dense tropical forest on the southern border of Nepal.This is the haunt of the famous Bengal Tiger and the habitat for a third of the world's increasingly rare one-horned rhinos, as well as more than 350 species of birds, various deer, bears and monkeys. There are three ways to explore the wildlife: by foot, Land rover or on the back of an elephant.
